You might have seen the good news that indoor badminton will start later this year. Badminton England have agreed a four-step approach with government. You should refer to the Badminton England webpage (www.badmintonengland.co.uk/return-to-play) for exact details, but high-level:
Step One – Outdoor badminton has been permitted since 29th March, subject to restrictions.
Step Two – Indoor badminton can, all being well, re-commence on 12th April for household only singles or doubles.
Step Three – Club badminton can re-commence, all being well, on 17th May subject to limitations such as rule-of-six. LYC is liaising with venues for the cluc to re-commence play. respecting the rule of six, the following Sunday. We aim to have news to announce soon as to where, what and how.
Step Four – no limits from 21st June, all being well.
We very much look forward to LYC badminton starting back. When we do re-commence it will be important that everyone follows the rules which Badminton England have agreed with government, so as to keep each other safe.
The safety of our members, coaches, and volunteers remains our top priority, and we will adhere to Government and Kensington Leisure Centre guidance.
